Following our recent new branding we’ve implemented the corporate house style across the entire fleet of vehicles, making it easier to spot a Speedrite vehicle on the road. We asked our design team at Mandarin Media to come up with some exciting new design proposals to compliment our existing marketing material. We think the new designs are very exciting, and they’ll soon extend to all our heavy mechanical equipment.

We believe we now have a corporate look that matches our status as the UK’s leading factory relocation specialist, ohh… and the occasional giant jellyfish tank too.

Speedrite Machester and the huge jellyfish tanks

An ambitious project to install two huge saltwater jellyfish tanks in a Manchester Thai restaurant owned by the Chaophraya Group, was awarded to Speedrite, the UK’s leading provider of plant and machinery moves. The jelly fish tanks manufactured in the USA, are the largest of their kind in the country weighing 750kg and made from 4 inch perspex. Speedrite collected the tanks directly from the ship, before making the careful journey to Manchester. Speedrite’s years of experience and crucial knowledge were critical when it came to moving the tanks to the second floor of the restaurant. Using specialist equipment, the final 50m were carefully planned before positioning the crane trolley and jacks. Steve Gage, Director of Speedrite (NE) Ltd, said, “ the Chaophraya Group were looking for supplier who could provide a movement package for this extremely delicate project. We listened carefully to their needs before submitting our detailed proposal, which formed a safe solution to the transportation and installation of the jellyfish tanks. Site Decommissioning, Dismantling and Asset Disposal

Dismantling

Speedrite’s experience extends to site decommissioning, dismantling and asset disposal.

Speedrite can take the responsibility and ownership of sites requiring full or part decommissioning. With our experience of managing sites as Principal Contractor under the Construction (Design & Management) Regulations 2007 (CDM), we will manage internal plant and process dismantling, structural and building decommissioning and site clearance including the licensed removal and disposal of hazardous waste.

Previous examples include the decommissioning of the cartridge case facility at Bae Systems Land Systems, Birtley, Boddingtons Brewery in the centre of Manchester for InBev and a paper mill for UPM Kymmene Plc (Shotton Paper Mill), Deeside.

As part of the service delivery for machine moves, Speedrite carefully mark-up and dismantle both electrically and mechanically. Prior to the work starting we shall, in conjunction with the clients own engineers or machine operators, carry out a hand-over procedure.Pipework is capped to prevent contamination and bright machine parts sprayed with light protective oil. Guarding is carefully marked up and dismantled together with platforms, walkways and support steelworks. Integral wiring is carefully traced, marked, disconnected, coiled back and protected.
All equipment is carefully packed, secured and protected for the move.

Upon installation, the Speedrite team who dismantled the equipment are responsible for installing and assembling. They will align the machine or process and reverse the handover procedure. Installation of primary and secondary services can be provided and managed by Speedrite.
